​ITARA, an NGO founded by The Garden Church in Chatsworth, CA in partnership with an NGO Best Family Rwanda, was created to share the love of God with female survivors of the 1994 Rwandan Genocide against the Tutsis. Itara means "light" in Kinyarwanda, the native language of Rwanda. Itara's aim is to bring light and a sustainable future for the artisans through training and empowerment. The artisans make beautiful and unique items to bring a little piece of Rwanda into your home. Itara has been a close partner with HHOA as together we aim to promote empowerment and sustainability!
